We are working on this page with co-operation of UK fellows - Andrew, Robbie, Fifi, and Mel - which have opened some 400 routes in Algarve !
They say that most of them are really adventurous for natural climb. There are not to many bolts and you have to take with you some friends and rocks and let the drill at your home. Don't destroy the style of this natural routes putting more bolts.
They will describe soon all the routes and the equipment you need to use.

Access to this area is being limited by the Town hall for natural protection.
Some contacts are being carried to allow climbers to go there.

There are : 150 routes in Fortaleza ; 10 in Ponta da Alheta; 15 in Ponta dos Currais ; 5 in Belixe ; 40 in Pontal Gordo ; about 100 in Cape of S. Vicente in the west cliff; In Ponta of Atalaia there are also some but area is protected for nesting ; 40 routes in Carrapateira.
